_thirty2flavors and I got Chinese food and timbits and spent our Saturday making fun of Torchwood and actually watching Doctor Who. At some point while watching Planet of the Ood, we launched into a pretty intense debate on whether peeling off your skin and turning into an Ood was made out of more WTF than the Doctor growing out of his own severed hand... and into a half-human hybrid. Naturally, we happily reminisced over all the other WTF moments in the show over the last few years and turned it into a poll: Doctor Who "science." For the sake of your mental health, do not think too deeply on any of the options, and if you feel a headache coming on, stop immediately and go watch Torchwood. It makes everything in Doctor Who seem coherent in comparison. In other news, I arrived back in Ottawa this afternoon and it is very, very warm here. I dragged my fan up from the basement, but I'm still sitting in the living room and sweating copiously. I'd like to go back to the country now.
